Annual Christmas Party Day Fun

Christmas Celebrations Continue At Daisykins Day Nursery

Every year the practitioners and staff at Daisykins Day Nursery hold a 'Christmas Party Day' in which the children engage in several festive activities and one particularly special experience. This year Christmas Party Day was held on Thursday 20th December 2018 and featured lots of festive fun.

The day began and the children greeted their friends in, twirling around to show off their party dresses and pulling down their Christmas themed jumpers to reveal festive designs. The older children then headed to the dancefloor to play a range of exciting party games, including 'Santa, Santa, Elf', Pre-School's own festive version of 'Duck, Duck, Goose', Musical Statues and Musical Chairs. The children then returned to their room to play 'Pass the Parcel' before making a special visit to soft play, which had been renovated into a magical grotto.

Soft play was hidden in white snow blankets, blackout curtains and Christmas decorations were placed all around, ready for the visit of the man himself, Father Christmas. The children took it in turns to visit Santa's Grotto. They talked to Santa about what they would like for Christmas and he gave them a chocolate reindeer treat and a wrapped present to take home with them. The children had their photos taken with Father Christmas and some even asked him for a high five. One of our favourite visits of the day was when one of the children politely asked Father Christmas; "Please could you be quiet when you bring my presents so you don't wake me up?" A very wise question too, might we add!

The morning ended with the ultimate party food buffet for lunch which the children couldn't wait to dig into. The children indulged in their lunch before returning to their rooms for even more party games.

What an exciting day. We are looking forward to next year's Christmas Party Day already!
