Hello, my name is Tia, and I am the 'Time to Talk' lead practitioner for Daisykins Day Nursery.

‘Time to Talk’ is a Warwickshire based strategy to support the development of young children's speech, language and communication skills.

The ‘Time to Talk’ programme is based upon established evidence from many academic resources which all suggest that language acquisition in the early years is a strong indicator of academic achievement later in life, as well as that social inequalities impact negatively upon a child’s opportunities for language learning. This highlights the importance of supporting all children's speech, language and communication skills.

I take great pride in my role, and I enjoy every aspect of helping and encouraging children to develop their speech and language skills. I believe that speech and language skills are crucial for children's holistic development, and it helps their personality and character blossom.
