Babies exploring their outdoor area
Enjoying the outdoors
Outdoor play is just as important for babies as indoor play is. Here at Daisykins Nursery in Rugby babies explore their dedicated outdoor learning environment daily. Activities are set up to stimulate many areas of their development. The low-level gate allows the babies to watch the older children having fun. Practitioners observe the babies outside and plan further activities to develop their learning. Not only do the babies enjoying playing outside they are also able to take a nap or two in their poddle pods. The low-level units allow the babies to lean against them and join in the activity whether this is water, sand or another sensory play such as cloud dough. Having accessible resources for all ages to participate in is highly important in helping develop children's all-round development. Outside in the baby area resources for non-mobile babies are placed on play mats and equipment such as the low-level mud kitchen are explored by the walkers.
Outdoor play is part of our daily routine here at Daisykins Nursery in Rugby, babies will venture outside in the morning and the afternoon.
