Gullivers Land and Dinosaur Park
After a trip to our local library in Rugby Baby plus participated in activities about dinosaurs, they spent a few weeks of exploring and discovering more about dinosaurs. To help the children learn more about dinosaurs practitioners decided to take the children to the Dinosaur park at Gulliver's Land to see if they could find some big dinosaurs. After lots of planning from the practitioners in Baby plus the day of the trip came and the mini bus arrived in the car park to take them. Seeing the bright orange mini bus was very exciting for all the children and many of them said 'bus' and 'brummm.'The mini bus driver put on some lovely nursery rhymes for the children to listen to and some of the children decided it was time to have a sleep. The children had lots of fun toddling around finding new and exciting things to look at, they enjoyed going on some of the little rides and all really enjoyed the hot air balloon Ferris wheel. It started to rain so they ventured into the giant ball pit to get some shelter and enjoy playing in the ball pit. After the rain stopped it was time for some lunch and the practitioners found a lovely spot with some picnic tables that had little roofs on the top. The children all sat beautifully and enjoyed their picnic lunch. The children then took a walk to the Dinosaur Park which was a short walk away from Gulliver's Land. As soon as they entered the Dinosaur park the children got very excited showing off everything they had learnt at nursery such as saying 'Dinosaur' and 'Rawwwr' .The children went on a little boat ride around the Dinosaur Park where along the way a variety of Dinosaurs were hidden amongst the bushes and trees. The children all concentrated hard on finding the hidden dinosaurs and pointed, laughed, waved and said 'hiya' whenever they found a hidden dinosaurs. After the boat ride the children completed a dinosaur walk where a variety of dinosaurs were placed along the trail. After the trail it was time to head back to nursery and everyone got on the mini bus. This time everyone had had so much fun that all the children fell asleep.
