A Typical Day in Our Toddler Room
A day in Daisykins Toddler Room
Daisykins Nursery in Rugby take children from 6 weeks to 4 Years and have dedicated rooms for babies, toddlers, preschool minors and preschoolers. If you would like to find out more about our baby room follow the link here.
The toddler room here at Daisykins Rugby takes children from the ages of 18 months up to 2 and a half, However we also look at children's stage of development rather than their age. The Toddler room at Daisykins is located on the ground floor and has easy access to the garden, toileting and nappy changing facilities, soft play and also the messy / dining room.
The toddler room has a little more set structure to the day
Children in the toddler room are supported with their individual milestones and independence is promoted. This may be through potty training, using a cup, putting on coats or whatever else your child may be interested in. Children in the toddler room at our Rugby Nursery are also encouraged to follow the Nursery rules and to begin to understand their emotions. Socialising and making friends is also a big part of being in the toddler room.
The children take part in many activities across the day such as very simple, short circle time activities for example songs and rhymes. Story time, arts and crafts, messy play and outdoor time. Activities will be planned based on your child’s interests and next steps.
