Applying for a Childcare Place at Daisykins Nursery

How to apply for your nursery place at Daisykins Nursery

The first things you might like to consider include:

  • How much childcare do you need? - Do you need a setting that is open 52 weeks of the year like Daisykins is?
  • The age of your child - Some settings may not take children under the age of 2 or those who are not yet out of nappies. Daisykins in Rugby takes children from 6 weeks old right up to the September before they start school
  • Do you want to use the 30 hours funding? - Not all settings will allow you to use your 30 hours funding. Daisykins are happy to talk children on using the full 30 hours funding .
  • What hours do you need - All settings open and close at different times, some of which may not be early enough or late enough for you. Daisykins are open from 7.30am - 6.30pm.
  • Would you like your child to access cooked meals? - Some settings require you to take a pack up or do not offer childcare over the lunch period. Daisykins provides breakfast, lunch, dinner and 2 healthy snacks a day.

Once you have thought about these questions and if Daisykins Nursery seems like it might be a good option for you, we would encourage you to take a look over our website, Facebook Page and our Instagram page social media pages. This can give you feel for the setting, practitioners and all the wonderful things the children get up to at Daisykins Nursery.

If you have not already done so and your child is three or above you may also like to claim your 30 hours funding code before you go any further. This will ensure you are now entitled to the funding and can be ready to pass over to your child’s new Nursery when they start. If you leave it to late you might miss the cut off period for this. If you need any additional guidance regarding this, you may find our 30 hours funding article helpful.

If after this you are still interested in Daisykins Nursery we would encourage you to book a visit. You can do this via phone, email, social media and our website. You can then come and be shown around the Rugby Nursery and meet the practitioners who would be working with your child. You can also use this as an opportunity to ask any questions you may have. We have many additional learning areas at Daisykins so we would recommend booking a time when you have around 20 minutes to half an hour spare.

Once you have had a look around and met the practitioners at Daisykins you may like to fill out a registration form and book some trial sessions before you leave. Alternatively you may like to take a registration form home with you and talk about it with family and friends. If once you get home you have any questions that spring to mind, please do not hesitate to contact us.
