Children from Daisykins Rugby Free Nursery visit Sea Life Centre
Pre school children from Daisykins Rugby Free Nursery took a trip to the sea life centre
As a treat for Preschoolers at Daisykins Rugby Free Nursery, the children had the opportunity to go on an exciting trip to the sea life centre in Birmingham. The children will be leaving us soon to start reception in September, and this was a well-deserved celebration for their achievements. When the children discovered they were taking the train, they were thrilled. The children behaved beautifully throughout the train journey; this was particularly reflected from the fantastic station staff that helped us on and off the train and in the station. As the day went on, the children continued to show enthusiasm at every stage of the centre. The nursery practitioners asked the children what their favourite sea animals were, and the majority enjoyed the sharks, turtles and most of all the penguins. They had the opportunity to touch a starfish and were practically face to face with the Gentoo penguins as they watched them dive into the icy water and play. In addition to that, the children experienced a fantastic viewing of Octonauts in the 4D cinema, which was thoroughly enjoyed. Throughout the day, the children collected stamps at different stages of the sea life centre, and with a completed stamp book they received a medal at the end of their underwater journey. After an adventurous day, the children arrived back at nursery with many stories to tell their parents about the trip. Feedback from the parents was also positive as they continued to hear more about their trip, at home. Overall it was a very successful day and the children were able to learn about some of the species that live in our seas, and celebrate finishing the nursery.
