Melting Ice science experiment

Our Rugby childcare practitioner Judith from our nursery in Rugby planned a simple science experiment for all ages, she introduced children to the idea of making predictions about what was going to happen to the ice. Judith filled gloves with food colouring and placed them in the freezer, the children watched as the coloured ice was revealed to them. As the children were exploring and handling the shapes of ice they were curious of why the ice was melting. Science experiments engages children's curiosity it  allows them the opportunity to investigate first hand experiences.
