Toddlers trip to Bosworth Water Trust

Children from Toddler Room at Daisykins Nursery in Rugby were all very excited to go to the man made beach at the Bosworth Water Trust. The children all climbed aboard the mini bus and sat looking at the window to see what animals they could see on the way. Unfortunately on the way it began to rain but practitioners were still optimistic and the children didn't seem fazed by itAs we arrived at the destination the rain decided to be kind and hold off. The children sat and had a snack and then couldn't wait to get digging in the sand. Practitioners supported the children by helping them make sand castles and marks in the sand. The children were deeply engaged and sat for a considerable amount of time playing in the sand emptying and filling up their buckets.Next on the agenda was a play on the pirate ship, the children and practitioners climbed up the steps to reach the top where the big slide began. The children slid down the slide then quickly climbed back up the steps for another go. The practitioners even had the opportunity or two to go down the slide.Just before dinner the children sat on the grass and had a sing along, their favourite song was walking though the jungle what can I see? The children enjoyed a picnic for their lunch consisting of sandwiches, crisps and fruit of which was all eaten up.Before the coach arrived back to collect the group the children had a quick play in the large sand pit area, they used the sand moulds to make some patterns and had a little run around to run some energy off before climbing back into their car seats. We weren't even ten minutes into the journey back to nursery and the children fell fast asleep.
