Number and mathematical song

Middle floor had great fun practicing their numbers whilst singing the song Five currants buns in a bakers shop. This is a brilliant number song as it gives children a chance to learn and practice their numbers in a fun and exciting way, it also allows children to feel special and valued when their names are sang out to collect a currant bun.

Learning and remembering numbers can sometimes be challenging  to children therefore we incorporate numbers and mathematics into our song time  by using props to engage the children . The song Five Currant Buns is also a great song to sing as it helps develop problem solving skills by counting the currant buns and subtracting one as each child  buys one.
