Helping raise money for the Charity LCH

Children joined in a sponsored event at the park to help raise money for the Charity LCH.

Children throughout the nursery joined one another at the local park to join in a sponsored event. The children took it in turns to complete an obstacle course that was set up for them. After each stage of the course the children were encouraged to do star jumps or run on the spot, however, some children were more interested in following their friends around the course. [ngg_images source="galleries" container_ids="237" display_type="photocrati-nextgen_basic_slideshow" gallery_width="600" gallery_height="400" cycle_effect="fade" cycle_interval="3" show_thumbnail_link="0" thumbnail_link_text="[Show picture list]" order_by="sortorder" order_direction="ASC" returns="included" maximum_entity_count="500"]Both adults and children walked up and down planks, they climbed up crates, balanced on logs and even ran from one cone to another. At the finish line, the children crawled through the cargo net and were met with a round of applause and a cheer or two.After completing the obstacle course the children also joined in some races, of which some involved crawling like spiders, doing large jumbo steps and skipping back and forth to the large tree. Several drink breaks were needed by the children as they worked up a sweat, however, after a quick drink, they were raring to go again. All money raised will be donated to LCH charity, which is a charity that is very close to one of our families in the nursery.The fun morning was enjoyed by everyone including some parents that joined us.
