Joining Daisykins Nursery

What happens when my child joins Daisykins Nursery in Rugby

After all the important reg forms and paperwork have been filled out and your space has been confirmed any essential information that the practitioners need to know such as allergies will be shared.

Then you and your child will be invited into Daisykins Nursery in Rugby to spend some time getting to know the new environment, practitioners and other children. During these settling in sessions, your child will be assigned a key person.

This is one of the practitioners who work in the room and will be the main point of contact for you to discuss any of your child’s needs, concerns or developments. This person will be responsible for building a relationship with your child to ensure they are happy, secure and confident whilst spending their time at Daisykins. A key person will be decided based on a few factors such as who will be in the same sessions as your child, who works within the same room and who your child begins to naturally bond with.

There will be an opportunity for you to complete an all about me form where the practitioners and your key person can learn more about your child’s likes, dislikes, interests and cultural background. This information is then used to help your child settle into Daisykins Nursery as quickly as possible. The rooms are set up the evening before ready for the new day and this helps the children come into the setting feeling excited to start.

During the first few weeks, your child will be observed closely so activities can be planned to meet their interests and learning stage. This is important in helping your child feel settled so that they have something achievable and engaging out for them to explore whilst at our Rugby Nursery. Daisykins practitioners will work closely in partnership with all parents to ensure all children are happy, secure, confident and thriving in our environment.
