Our experinced and skilled workforce
Our Skilled Workforce at Daisykins Nursery in Rugby
Here at our Nursery in Rugby we have a very skilled and experienced workforce. Many of our practitioners at Daisykins hold level 3 or higher full and relevant early years qualification. The manager of Daisykins in Rugby, Kelly Hibberd, holds a level 5 FDa degree in Early years with over 15 years experience working in the childcare sector. One of our Deputy Managers, Jessica Bree holds a Level 6 BA (Hons) degree in early years and Rebecca Allen our other Deputy holds a Level 3 qualification in childcare and has business management experience. We also have three practitioners in our Rugby Nursery and Preschool who hold level 6 BA (hons) degrees or level 5 FDa degrees in Early Years.
All of our practitioners hold paediatric first aid, level 1 safeguarding and food hygiene certificates that are regularly renewed. All of our practitioners are signed up to a childcare training platform where they can complete regular CPD and improve and update their knowledge and skills. We are very lucky to have a speech and language champion who is able to support any children with speech and language difficulties. We also have a SENDCO who attends regular training workshops. We have also on occasion invited the skills network to our nursery in Rugby and encouraged our practitioners to sign up to any level 2 qualification that they desire and feel will support them with their aspirations.
We hold supervisions with all of our practitioners at Daisykins where they have the opportunity to discuss if there is any training they would like, we try to act on this whenever possible. It is very important for Daisykins that we have a highly skilled and experienced workforce so we are able to support every child in their learning and development.
