Pre-School's Christmas Concert
During December the children in the Pre-School room at Daisykins Nursery in Rugby were very busy learning all their Christmas songs ready for their Christmas Concert. Leading up to the day itself the children became more confident in singing their songs and practised in front of some of the younger children and practitioners in the nursery.[ngg_images source="galleries" container_ids="198" sortorder="1471,1465,1466,1468,1469,1470,1467,1472" display_type="photocrati-nextgen_basic_slideshow" gallery_width="600" gallery_height="400" cycle_effect="fade" cycle_interval="3" show_thumbnail_link="0" thumbnail_link_text="[Show picture list]" order_by="sortorder" order_direction="ASC" returns="included" maximum_entity_count="500"]As the day of the Christmas concert arrived the children got all dressed up into their costumes and had one final rehearsal before it was show time. The Pre-School team had created a simple version of the story of the nativity which the children joined in to read, finishing the ending of lines said by the grown ups. The children were all dressed as characters from the nativity and other Christmas themed characters. They then finished their show with a range of songs they had learnt. These included When Santa got stuck up the chimney, Christmas Pudding, Twinkle Twinkle Christmas star and many others.[ngg_images source="galleries" container_ids="199" sortorder="1474,1473,1475,1476,1477,1478" display_type="photocrati-nextgen_basic_slideshow" gallery_width="600" gallery_height="400" cycle_effect="fade" cycle_interval="3" show_thumbnail_link="0" thumbnail_link_text="[Show picture list]" order_by="sortorder" order_direction="ASC" returns="included" maximum_entity_count="500"]The children did a fantastic job and all their little voices could be heard in the audience and they all joined in with the actions enthusiastically. The Pre-School team were very proud of all the children amd we are sure the parents and grandparents were to.From everyone at Daisykins Nursery in Rugby we would like to say a big thank you to all the parents/carers and grandparents that came to watch the Christmas concert and for helping the children practice their Christmas songs at home.
